Next Monday, January 16 has been coined “Blue Monday”, reportedly the most depressing day of the year. However, this year Citroën Ireland is set to flip the dullest day of the year on its head to become “Feel Good Monday”, encouraging each one of us to carry out random acts of kindness and spread the love. In its quest to establish “Feel Good Monday” Citroën Ireland is delighted to partner with Make-A-Wish Ireland.
Citroën has joined forces with Maximum Media websites HER and JOE and Make-a-Wish Ireland, along with comedian Marcus O’Laoire, to call on the people of Dublin to nominate their friends, family or colleagues for a special surprise or gift on what they want to become known as “Feel Good Day”.
The campaign to change blue vibes to feel good vibes is driven online – by simply nominating, giving a brief description and using the hashtag #C3FeelGood the public can name who they would like to honour with a random act of kindness.
For each time you nominate a friend to receive a random act of kindness Citroën will make an €2 donation to children’s charity Make-A-Wish Ireland on your behalf, with a target to reach a total donation of €3,000. You can nominate by commenting on the campaign posts on HER, JOE or the Citroën Facebook and Instagram pages, or by tweeting with the #C3FeelGood and tagging the friend that you feel deserves a treat on Feel Good Monday.
Monday will see a trio of new Citroën C3 vehicles take to the streets of Dublin to surprise selected “Feel Good Monday” nominees with their treats, while others will receive their treats online from HER and JOE throughout the day. Comedian Marcus O’Laoire will also take part in the convoy to create a feel good vibe and brighten spirits along the convoy’s route.
Make-A-Wish CEO Susan O’Dwyer commented, “We are delighted to be working with Citroën on this positive and uplifting project which reflects our values of hope, strength and joy and we are grateful for this support in granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.”
Speaking about the campaign, Louise Murphy, Marketing Director, Citroën Ireland, said, “We are really looking forward Feel Good Monday! “Feel Good” is the very essence of the Citroën brand, and is the motivation behind the good work of Make-A-Wish too. Our trio of New C3’s will certainly brighten the streets of Dublin!”
