Updated Skoda Fabia to hit Irish showrooms

The Fabia has been a pillar of the Skoda range since it launched due to its practicality, versatility and user-friendliness. Skoda says this facelift to the third generation of Fabia offers youthful, sportily sleek design with a combination of modern efficient engine technology.

A redesigned radiator grille, alterations to the front and rear bumpers, new headlights and tail lights with optional LED technology lend the Skoda Fabia even more character. New alloy wheels ensure a dynamic overall impression on this model and the ColourConcept option showcases the youthful design of the new Fabia even further, this option allows customers to personalise the roof with A-pillars, wing mirrors and alloy wheels in a contrasting colour to the exterior colour of the car with the option of black or white modifications available. Inside, the dashboard is characterised by a redesigned instrument cluster with new round instruments for enhanced visibility. New decor and upholstery options round off the overall interior impression.
 

The updated engine portfolio includes one MPI and two TSI three-cylinder petrol engines with a 1.0-litre capacity. The first is a 1.0 MPI unit offering 75hp, up next a 1.0 TSI unit offers 95hp and the final 1.0TSI unit provides 110hp. The 110hp engine is also available with the option of DSG transmission.
 
The entry level Active trim comes starts from €16,200 and comes standard the 14” steel wheels, a Blues radio unit with Aux-In, USB port and SD slot, electric front windows, height adjustable driver seat and electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors.  The mid-level Ambition trim comes with the addition of 15” alloy wheels, a Swing 6.5” colour touch screen infotainment unit, Smartlink including Apple Car Play and Android Auto, leather multi-function steering wheel, front fog lights, maxi dot trip computer and even a built in umbrella under the  front passenger seat.
 
The sporty Monte Carlo version comes with a host of aesthetic features such as 16” black alloys, sunset tinted glass, black rear spoiler, black front grille surround and black exterior mirrors. The sporty vibe continues inside with a flat bottom sports leather steering wheel, chrome pedals and Monte Carlo specific upholstery. The top Style trim level includes air conditioning, rear electric windows, front arm rest, keyless entry and keyless start, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and also a height adjustable passenger seat.
