Barlo Motor Group appointed Isuzu D-Max specialist in Kilkenny

Kilkenny-based Barlo Motor Group has been appointed as a new Isuzu D-Max dealer in Ireland, adding the popular commercial 4×4 pickup range to its vehicle portfolio serving agricultural, construction and trade customers across the South East.

The appointment places Isuzu alongside Barlo’s established brands creating a three-manufacturer line-up from the group’s twin showrooms on Kilkenny’s Dublin Road, with the D-Max model range filling a clear product requirement in the dealership’s vehicle portfolio.

Barlo Motor Group operates two showrooms in close proximity to Kilkenny’s cattle market and builders merchants, providing direct access for the dealership’s core commercial customer base.

The facility supports 20 employees across sales, workshop and administration functions, with workshop operations led by experienced service management and a team of manufacturer-trained technicians.

Parts support is handled by dedicated personnel with extensive product knowledge.

“D-Max represents the reliability and cost-effectiveness that commercial operators demand,” said dealer principal, Liam Martin.

“The pickup segment has lacked a reliable product that offers real value for money, and Isuzu addresses that requirement directly with the D-Max slotting perfectly into our CV range. We have deep roots in this region and we understand what local farmers and contractors need from their vehicles,” he added. “We’re focused on establishing the Isuzu D-Max as a serious pickup contender in Kilkenny throughout 2026 and beyond.”

Karl Haughton, managing director at Isuzu Ireland, said: “Barlo Motor Group delivers the technical capability and commercial sector expertise essential for representing Isuzu effectively. Their dual-showroom operation, experienced workshop team and established customer base provide ideal conditions for growing Isuzu’s regional market penetration.”
