Blackwater Motors Fermoy new Cupra dealer

Cupra Ireland has announced the appointment of Blackwater Motors as its newest official dealership partner, strengthening the brand’s presence in the south of Ireland.

This partnership comes as Cupra continues to gain momentum, with Irish sales up 28 per cent year-on-year.

Founded in 1991, Blackwater Motors has grown into one of Ireland’s most respected automotive retailers. Today, the group represents Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, and Seat across multiple showrooms in County Cork, and also provides Skoda aftersales services.

As an official Cupra retailer, Blackwater Motors will now offer the full Cupra model lineup, including a range of petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains. Leading Cupra’s electric ambitions are the Cupra Born – the brand’s first fully electric model – and the new Cupra Tavascan, an all-electric SUV coupe.

For customers seeking combustion-power, Cupra offers a selection of models such as the Formentor, Leon and the latest addition to the range, the Terramar SUV.

Niall Cotter, head of operations at Blackwater Motors, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to add Cupra to the Blackwater Motors family. Cupra’s bold design, innovation, and performance perfectly complement our existing portfolio. We look forward to introducing this exciting marque to our customers and building a strong presence for Cupra in Cork.”

Gaspar Alcaide, brand director of Cupra Ireland, added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Blackwater Motors to the Cupra network. Their reputation for excellence and deep roots in Cork make them an ideal partner as we continue to grow CUPRA’s footprint across Ireland.”
