Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology revealed

Mercedes-Benz has revealed an all-electric version of the GLC, one of its best-selling models worldwide.

Unveiled at the recent international motor show in Germany, the ‘GLC with EQ Technology’ is set to launch in Europe in the first half of 2026 and should be available in Ireland in time for the ‘262’ registration period.

Based on the brand’s new MB.EA platform, the GLC with EQ Technology will have a 94kWh battery with a claimed range of just over 700km from a full charge. An 800-volt charging system is capable of charging speeds of up to 330kW, meaning over 300km can be added in just 10 minutes of charging.

Most notably, the new GLC is the first Mercedes-Benz to adopt the redesigned chromed front grille, which is said to “redefine the face of the brand”. Mercedes-Benz says the GLC’s dynamic silhouette, with its sculptural shoulder lines and pronounced wheel arches, emphasises its powerful presence.

The GLC with EQ Technology has a wheelbase that’s 84 mm longer compared to the combustion GLC, meaning more head and legroom. The boot provides 570-litres of capacity expanding to 1,740-litres with the rear seats dropped. Additionally, the frunk (front trunk) contributes an extra 128-litres of load capacity. The new model has a 2,400kg towing capacity.

Inside features a 39.1-inch MBUX Hybperscreen which runs the width of the cabin. It is the largest screen in a Mercedes-Benz to date. There will also be the optional of a vegan interior, using materials that have been certified by global The Vegan Society.

Full Irish pricing and specification for the new Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology, will be confirmed in early 2026.
