Nissan has today said that its all-new compact electric vehicle is coming to European markets.
Set to be built in France, this new car will succeed the Nissan Micra as the entry-level vehicle in the brand’s line-up.
No word on Irish arrival dates, but Nissan said that this, along with the new car’s name and technical details, will be released “in due course”.

The all-new electric compact car was announced today as part of Alliance 2030, a common roadmap by Renault, Nissan & Mitsubishi Motors that focuses on EVs and connected mobility activities.
Nissan chief operating officer, Ashwani Gupta said: “This all-new model will be designed by Nissan and engineered and manufactured by Renault using our new common platform, maximising the use of our Alliance assets while maintaining its Nissan-ness.
“This is a great example of the Alliance’s ‘smart differentiation’ approach. Succeeding our iconic Micra, I am sure this new model will provide further excitement to our customers in Europe.”
New vehicles and technologies arriving soon from Nissan include the new Ariya, a new EV crossover and Nissan’s e-Power technology, which will be available in Europe in the new Qashqai and X-Trail.
