Peugeot Ireland has confirmed the arrival of the E-408, the fully-electric version of the 408 fastback that first launched here a couple of years ago.
Priced from €38,995 or €43,995 (including grant and VRT rebate), the Peugeot E-408 is now available to order in Ireland in Allure and GT trims, with first customer deliveries beginning shortly.

Both trims come with a 58kWh battery featuring a 210 hp electric motor with 345 Nm of torque, promising a range of up to 453km (WLTP) and heat pump as standard.
There is a 11 kW AC onboard charger as standard and up to 120 kW DC fast charging, which should mean a 20–80 per cent top up in just over 30 minutes.
A trip planner with charging station integration is included as standard in the infotainment system, regenerative braking is also a standard feature which can be adjusted via paddles behind the steering wheel.
Five colours are available: Okenite White, Obsession Blue, Selenium Grey, Elixir Red and Perla Nera Black.
Peugeot says rear passengers benefit from class-leading legroom (183 mm), while boot capacity is 471-litres, expanding to 1,545-litres with seats folded.

Inside, drivers enjoy the latest Peugeot i-Cockpit, featuring a compact steering wheel, 10-inch digital instrument panel and 10-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless phone charging, four USB-C ports, ambient lighting and AGR-certified ergonomic front seats.
The arrival of the E-408 means Peugeot now offers an all-electric version of each car it sells in Ireland.
Also joining the Peugeot 408 range is a petrol hybrid option, the Hybrid 145 e-DSC6 which has a 136 hp petrol engine and 48V mild-hybrid technology for reduced fuel consumption. This is priced from €38,995 for the Allure and from €42,995 for the GT, both of which are also available to order now.
