Refreshed Opel Mokka from €29,995

Opel has unveiled a refreshed version of its award-winning Mokka, which is said to benefit from a crisper, even more contemporary style both on the outside and the inside.

Available in petrol and hybrid from launch, with three trims – SC, Elegance and GS – the new compact SUV arrives on Opel dealership forecourts in Ireland this April, retailing from €29,995 plus delivery for the Mokka SC 1.2 136hp six-speed manual.

The new Mokka Electric, with 403km range, arrives in Ireland later in 2025.

James Brooks, Opel Ireland managing director, said: “Our Mokka is full of timeless character that makes it stands out in the crowd. We have sharpened its contemporary design, proudly placing the new Opel blitz in the centre of the Vizor front face, and we have added a range of bright new body colours.

“Inside, new multi-media and infotainment systems take the new Mokka to the next level. With the first units landing in Opel Dealer forecourts in the coming days, we are delighted to now open the new Mokka order books, and we anticipate a further strengthening of our position in the all-important B SUV segment.”

The Mokka made its mark immediately from launch in 2021. It was the first model to introduce the statement Opel Vizor front face, which now adorns every new Opel model. Now, a redesigned front bumper is claimed to improve aerodynamics, with special aero wheels available for the Mokka Electric.

In line with Opel’s “Greenovation” approach, exterior chrome fittings are dispensed with. Instead, a black design line running from the bonnet to the rear above the side windows, matched to a high-gloss black trim strip running across the lower door surfaces to the rear, convey simple sporty elegance.

Inside the new Mokka, Opel says the entire cockpit design appears fresher and more desirable. All fabrics are made from materials with recycled content. The steering wheel has been flattened at the top and bottom and made from vegan material. The centre console between the front seats, in a matt silver tone, is now even clearer than before.

There’s a new 10-inch digital driver information display and equally large colour touchscreen as standard.

Mokka customers, from launch in Ireland, can choose from an efficient 1.2-litre 136hp petrol engine for an entry-level price, or a petrol hybrid with 48-volt technology.

The Mokka Hybrid combines a 100 kW (136 hp) 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 21 kW (28 hp) electric motor and an electrified six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Available in the near future, the new Mokka Electric with a 115kW (156 hp) electric motor and 54 kWh battery has a kerb weight of just 1,615kg, offering up to 403km (WLTP) on a full charge.

Retailing from €29,995 plus delivery, the SC model boasts a distinctive style and high level of standard equipment, including newly designed black-grained front/rear bumpers, a chrome-effect front logo and black Vizor frame front face, 16-inch wheels, a black Modene interior seat trim, extended traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, driver drowsiness alert, forward collision alert, enhanced auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection, six airbags, cruise control with intelligent speed limiter, electronic climate control, 10-inch driver information display, 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, USB type C connectivity, DAB radio, Opel Connect, auto high beam assist, rain sensitive windscreen wipers and rear park assist.

Priced from €32,995 plus delivery, the level two Elegance trim retains the same SC visual features and adds as standard, 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, a heated steering wheel, heated driver and front passenger seats, a front centre armrest, keyless entry and start, adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert, HD touchscreen graphics with integrated Navigation, wireless charging, electrically adjustable/heated/folding door mirrors, tinted rear windows, electro-chrome rear view mirror, and front and rear park assist with flank guard and 180-degree panoramic rear view camera.
