Tesla has today announced the addition of the Model Y Standard to its Irish product line-up, replacing the Model Y Rear Wheel Drive.
With a claimed range of up to 505km (WLTP), the Model Y Standard is priced in Ireland from €42,990 or from €319 per month, making it the cheapest Model Y to date.

With this addition comes an adjustment to the Irish line-up as a whole, with the Model Y Premium now starting from €49,990 for the rear-wheel drive version and from €52,990 for the all-wheel drive model. The Model Y Performance now has a starting price of €61,990.
Tesla claims the Model Y Standard is the most efficient Model Y ever. With a consumption of 13.1 kWh / 100km and a range of 505 km WLTP, owners can drive more kilometers per euro spent on charging, according to Tesla.
The Model Y Standard also includes 19-inch crossflow wheels in Ireland, differing from the 18-inch wheels offered in other markets.
The Model Y Standard comes with an extensive suite of features, including remote mobile app access, trip planner with real-time Supercharger availability and a variety of gaming and entertainment options. Phone key, remote climate control, sentry mode, dog mode and all the Tesla signature features are included.
The Model Y Standard offers up to 835-litres of cargo space with five passengers and 2,118-litres with the second row folded.
Test drives will begin in January 2026 with first customer deliveries expected in February.
