Volkswagen ID. Tiguan to replace ID.4

Volkswagen has confirmed that the ID. Tiguan will be the replacement model for the ID.4 and ID.5 electric vehicles from 2027.

Set to be revealed in full on October 10, the ID. Tiguan will be offered alongside the existing Tiguan with combustion and hybrid powertrains.

The ID. Tiguan will remain under camouflage wrap until October 10

Volkswagen said the change is intended to provide customers with established name from its existing range. The ID.2 being changed to the ID.Polo is another example of this.

Since its launch in 2021, the ID.4 has been one of Volkswagen’s best selling cars in Ireland, with more than 10,000 units sold in that time.
