Order books have opened for the Tesla Model Y Performance, a 460hp family SUV with a 0-100km/h of 3.3 seconds.
Priced from €61,990 in Ireland, the Model Y Performance promises around 580km of range and an improved charging speed thanks to an upgraded battery pack.
The Model Y Performance benefits from upgraded chassis hardware that matches the increased performance of the powertrain. New springs, stabilizer bars and bushings result in a chassis that feels more intuitive and responsive, according to Tesla.
At the centre of the dash is an all-new 16-inch touchscreen with thinner bezels and higher resolution. Tesla says it offers nearly 80 per cent more pixels than the 15.4-inch display on other Model Y variants, delivering a smoother and more immersive experience.
Other improvements of note include new 21-inch wheels, red brake calipers, carbon-fibre dash and door trim inserts and aluminum pedals.
Deliveries for the new Tesla Model Y Performance will commence this October.
