New Kia Stonic breaks cover

Kia has taken the covers off its updated Stonic, featuring a new design, advanced technology and connectivity upgrades.

Compared to the last generation, the new model mostly maintains its compact dimensions. The only exception is its length, which has been extended by 25mm due to its resculpted front and rear bumpers.

Additionally, the front fascia introduces several changes, including new signature lighting, more prominent and structured front and lower grilles, and an updated front fender.

These aesthetic changes are complemented by new wheel options across the range, including 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels exclusively for the sportier ‘GT-Line’ trim. The exterior palette has been updated with two new colours: Adventurous Green and Yacht Blue.

Kia has kept the engine options simple. The new Stonic will be available with a 98hp 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine or a 113hp mild-hybrid (MHEV) version. Both powertrains will be available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The interior features two merged high-resolution 12.3-inch infotainment screens. The cabin also introduces new two-spoke and three-spoke steering wheel designs, a resculpted gear knob and centre console, and an updated dashboard design.

The new Stonic is equipped with Kia Connect, offering cloud-based services and real-time vehicle diagnostics. For peace of mind, drivers can remotely monitor, control, and interact with their vehicle via the Kia App.

Irish pricing, specification and arrival dates will be announced by Kia Ireland in due course.
