Nissan has this week launched the new Micra in Ireland, continuing the success story of the car which first hit Irish roads over 40 years ago.
The all-new fully-electric Micra is said to combine the car’s long-standing reputation for practicality and affordability with intuitive technology.
It starts at €25,995 and is available with a 40kWh battery offering a claimed range of up to 317km, or a 52kWh battery offering a top range of 416km. Both variants support DC fast-charging up to 80 kW and 110 kW respectively.

“Nissan is focused on making EVs that fit into the everyday lives of our customers and that deliver electric driving as it should be. We know how to do that because we have been making EVs for more than fifteen years, and the all-new Micra is perfectly sized and equipped with intuitive technology so you can pack more into your everyday life,” said Seamus Morgan, managing director of Nissan Ireland.
“The Nissan Micra is the one nameplate which is instantly familiar to Irish motorists, and we are thrilled that its reputation as a practical, versatile and affordable car continues to be very much at the heart of its return as a fully electric vehicle,” he added.
“The all-new Micra puts the fun into electric driving. Nissan has fine-tuned the EV driving experience with this car and test drivers are telling us that it has convinced them to make the switch to EV. It is a fantastic addition to Nissan’s growing range of fully electric vehicles which also includes the all-new Nissan LEAF and premium Nissan Ariya,” he continued.
The all-new Micra is available in three grades. The entry level Engage grade has a 40kWh battery and is priced at €25,995. The Advance grade is priced from €27,995 from the 40kWh version and from €30,995 for the 52kWh variant.
The top of the range Evolve grade is only available with the 52kWh battery and is priced at €32.995. All prices include the SEAI grant of €3,500 and exclude delivery related charges.
The interior includes dual 10.1-inch infotainment screens while Google Maps, Assistant and Play Store are built in along with voice control and the most up to date navigation. The NissanConnect app allows you to set the cabin temperature, check your battery status remotely, and plan your route with charging stops already built in.
Standard safety features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Emergency Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning. A full suite of driver assistance features is also available including adaptive cruise control and parking support.
