Music fans heading to Oxegen this weekend have been urged to take plublic transport if possible.
The advice comes from An Garda Siochana, who is urging partons to plan their journey to the Naas, Co. Kildare venue and to arrive in good time.
Patrons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to enter the venue. Patrons are requested to comply with the directions of stewards and Gardai and respect the local area around Punchestown.
In addition, patrons are reminded to comply with the terms and conditions of entry to the concerts, that alcohol may not be consumed in public areas around Punchestown.
Persons entering the concert site are liable to be searched. Alcohol and any items which may be used as a weapon will be seized. People attending the concerts should arrive early and allow sufficient time to pass through security checks.
