Ford Retail is holding auctions next week in five English dealerships and one in Northern Ireland, with starting bids at just 1p.
It is holding an auction on this coming Wednesday (19th February) at seven locations including Lindsay Ford Lisburn, 20 Market Place, Lisburn, County Antrim.
However, if you can’t make it to any of the live auctions, Ford Retail will also be hosting an online auction on eBay on the same day, running until the 23rd February.
Each dealership will have one car on offer with the reserve price of 1p. Part exchange of your old car is available if necessary. The models available will range from Fiestas to Focuses, will all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
Ford Retail is the world’s largest, dedicated Ford dealer group. It operates 50 Ford main dealerships (two Iveco and two Mazda outlets) and employs over 3,000 people. Total turnover exceeds £1bn and the group sells around 90,000 vehicles per annum. You may not be familiar with Ford Retail but you probably will have heard of some of our local brand names especially Lindsay Ford in Northern Ireland.
Meanwhile, Ford Retail has also recently announced its customer facing brands will operate under a new name – TrustFord. The change will start from the second quarter of the year. it is part of an ongoing strategy to align the business’ regional dealerships under one nationally recognised brand name. It i also endevouring to ensure a joined-up customer experience and offering across its entire retail group.
Ford does not own any retail outlets in the Republic, but it has the largest representation of main dealerships at 55.
