Pat Tiernan Nissan in Co Limerick has been appointed as the official car supplier for the Davis Cup World Group I play-off between Ireland and Austria at the University of Limerick (UL) Sport Arena from 3rd-4th February.
Located on the Old Ballysimon Road, Pat Tiernan Nissan is supplying a fleet of 10 vehicles as the tennis event’s official car supplier, including the Nissan Qashqai e-Power and X-Trail e-Power, all of which will be used to drive players, match officials and VIP guests to and from events during their week-long stay in Limerick.
Nissan’s e-Power technology drives in electric mode all of the time, with the petrol engine only used to charge a battery that powers an electric motor to drive the wheels.
Pat Tiernan, dealer principal at Pat Tiernan Nissan said: “Everyone at Pat Tiernan Nissan is delighted to see the Davis Cup return to Limerick for the first time since 1989.
“We are thrilled to be part of such a prestigious event. We look forward to working with Tennis Ireland over the coming weeks and to showcasing how Nissan’s e-Power technology delivers a more responsive, quieter and efficient way to experience city driving.”
