The new Toyota Proace Max has arrived in Ireland, following its Irish debut appearance at last week’s National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore.
The Proace Max marks Toyota’s first entry into the European heavy-duty van market, combining a “powerful load carrying capacity with efficient performance and a powerful, robust design”.
The new van is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, with an output of 140 hp, 350Nm torque and a 2.5-tonne towing capacity. Quoted fuel consumption is 7.9 l/100km.
The new Proace Max is available in long wheel base, medium roof and boasts a load volume of up to 1,375kg.
Inside, the multimedia offering includes a new 10-inch touchscreen and a seven-inch colour TFT instrument display, and comes with Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
For ease of use, it has dynamic guidelines on the reversing camera and a pre-collision system with pedestrian and cyclist detection. For driver comfort, it also comes with cruise control and automatic air conditioning.
The new Toyota Proace Max is priced in Ireland from €35,022, excluding VAT, and comes with Toyota’s three-year/100,000km manufacturer warranty.
